Gigabyte has announced the launch of its 512GB Gigabyte PCIe M.2 SSDs as a high-end and affordable storage solution in the general market. This new drive offers a significant upgrade from SATA to NVMe SSD, without the high costs normally associated with upgrading between the two interfaces.

The 512GB capacity version consolidates the Gigabyte PCIe M.2 as a viable conventional option, and allows all users to experience the best performance. Based on NVMe architecture, Gigabyte M.2 PCIe SSDs enable the M.2 interface to use PCIe Gen3 x2 lines, to provide higher bandwidth storage performance and transfer speeds than the SATA interface traditional. These new storage devices are subjected to rigorous stress tests to validate their performance.

Furthermore, they are compatible with TRIM and SMART technologies, which allow users to enjoy greater stability, quality and durability. Thanks to the use of HMB (Host Memory Buffer) technology and TLC Flash memory, these new SSDs offer superior performance at a much lower price. Gigabyte has taken advantage of the drop in the prices of NAND memory to put on the market a very compact storage device, with excellent performance, and all the quality guarantees of a leading manufacturer.

Like all Gigabyte PCIe M.2 SSDs, the new 512GB model comes with a three-year limited warranty. No details have been given about its features, but they should be close to 2000 MB / s if we consider the use of the PCI Express 3.0 x2 interface. The price has not been disclosed either.
