Razer shows off its keyboard and mouse for Xbox One

Microsoft announced in September that it was testing keyboard and mouse compatibility on the Xbox One. Keyboard and mouse support was finally rolled out through the system update in mid-November. The feature must be deliberately incorporated into an Xbox game by its developers in order for it to work, and as of writing, only 14 Xbox One games can be used with a keyboard and mouse.

As more titles begin to offer cross-platform multiplayer, such as Minecraft and Fortnite, Microsoft's move is likely to cause more players to move to the platform, or encourage Sony and Nintendo to roll out similar hardware peripherals for the PlayStation 4 and Switch. Razer was established in 2005 as a global brand, starting with mice, keyboards, and other peripherals before moving on to arcades, tablets, PCs, and phones. Razer's products are specifically designed for the intense gamer demographic, and the brand sponsors multiple competitors and eSports teams.

In late September it announced that it had partnered with Microsoft to make sure its products were well-suited to the Xbox One. Many of Razer's PC-centric mice and keyboards are already compatible with the console, but its upcoming keyboard combo and mouse is specifically designed with the Xbox in mind.

It will be necessary to see when they finally reach the market and at what price they do it
