According to the original press release from January 2019, Dell XPS 15, Alienware m15 and Dell G7 15 will offer "OLED with HDR, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 100, 000: 1 contrast ratio, as of March 2019" .
Now, according to Notebookcheck , this OLED option could only arrive in June. Although Dell has not officially confirmed this, a recent official blog post says they intend to update the XPS 15 with new 9th Gen Intel CPUs and NVIDIA 16 Series GPUs. Therefore, it only makes sense for the company to release the OLED variant at the same time. This is also corroborated by a recent leak from Dell's roadmap of a June release.
What is the reason for the delay?
The reason for the delay may not be related to OLED panels at all. Rather, it is likely because the XPS 15 is experiencing many problems.

Although they have fixed DPC latency issues, some still persist. Other issues include something related to GPU fans after BIOS 1.7. Which was released to fix GPU issues since BIOS 1.3.1. This is just a few of the pitfalls they encountered and are fine-tuning ahead of a June release.
