Energy phone max 3+ in Spanish (complete analysis)

Table of contents:

Anonim

The Energy Phone Max 3+ emphasizes one of the aspects that have always been a trend in the Spanish brand Energy Sistem: music. For this, with this model they have included a Bluetooth headset. With them it is possible to enjoy our music from the first moment. It is an incentive, but it is de rigueur to also value the rest of the sections. Let's take a look at it.

We thank Energy Sistem for trusting the product for its analysis.

Technical Features Energy Phone Max 3+

Unboxing

Design

We are faced with a rather classic design that in practice works very well. It is a one-piece terminal with a body made of metal. It has dimensions of 148.7 x 72.4 x 9.1 mm. The phone feels good in the hand thanks to its curved lines and doesn't feel overly large. However, one-handed use can be cumbersome for some people. The Phone Max 3+ is elegant, but it sins of having too much front without taking advantage. It is a boat to which more and more brands are added for obvious reasons: large screen on a more contained front.

On the other hand, the 161 grams of weight are not too noticeable and the terminal feels robust. It is a good weight considering the battery capacity it incorporates.

Going into detail in terms of design, there are no notable developments. The proximity sensor, call speaker, notification LED and 5-megapixel front camera are located on the upper front. For its part, the lower area has only the fingerprint sensor. The buttons are digital to move through the menus are built into the screen.

The rear has a 13 megapixel camera next to the flash on top and the speaker for multimedia content on the bottom.

Nor are many differences found with respect to other terminals on the side edges. On the right side we find a volume up and down button immediately below the on and off button. The 3.5mm jack connector is the only thing that crowns the front edge. The same goes for the tray for microSIM / nanoSIM and / or microSD on the left side. Finally, on the bottom edge are the microUSB port and the microphone for calls.

screen

The Energy Phone Max 3+ has a 5.2-inch screen with IPS Oncell technology and an HD resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. The screen diagonal, as always, is somewhat subjective, but in this case it remains at a half size. It doesn't feel big or small. In the case of resolution, if that is somewhat low. However, when the terminal is used, the set ends up being satisfactory.

IPS technology as always presents adequate colors, without supersaturation. Black is the only color that has room for improvement in this type of panel. As for the viewing angles, they are good, at no time has there been a decrease in colorimetry or quality.

The brightness is a section that has left me good taste. In bright environments, it generally behaves very well. In cases where the sun's rays directly impact the screen, it is when perhaps the reflections bother most. Not only is the maximum brightness good, but the minimum brightness also stands out. Almost everyone is looking for great outdoor brightness, but personally I also appreciate darkening the screen as much as possible at night or when the light is off in a room.

OS

Android 7.0 Nougat is the default version that comes with the phone. Luckily, you could almost say that it comes with a pure Android version. Only the style of the digital buttons breaks that effect. In options, a section is available to change the position of these buttons and even the possibility of removing them. In this case, the same button that is used as a fingerprint sensor is the one that will be used to navigate through the menus. Touching the sensor will take us to the previous screen, pressing it in will make us go to the beginning and if it is pressed twice quickly it will show us the open applications in the background.

Other extra options is to program the terminal on and off. It is an option that I have not tried, but it can be useful in certain occasions to save even more battery.

When it comes to shoehorn-stuffed apps, the system isn't riddled with them like on Chinese mobiles. The only one we will find is an app about Club Energy. On the other hand, Energy Sistem has done well to include its own music player. The app works quite well, it allows you to select folders and automatically adjust if we have and select a player of the own brand.

A sublime aspect is the robustness of the system. During its testing, no strange bugs or errors have been seen. Which cannot be said of many terminals today, whose policy is to remove patches instead of launching a stable system at first.

performance

The system is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T720 GPU, and 2 GB of RAM. All this offers more than correct performance for apps and games that do not require much processing. For some games that required more power, the load times were slower and the fps scratched a bit from time to time. Obviously, we are talking about a mid-range terminal. You can't ask the elm for pears either.

The Benchmark carried out AnTuTu gave a result of 34902. A somewhat low result and quite far from other processors such as the Helio P25 of Chinese brands.

Really, not everyone needs raw power for day-to-day use of a smartphone. However, a widespread complaint from people is usually the lack of space in their terminals. It is increasingly normal to see terminals with at least 64 GB of storage. Therefore, I was surprised by the inclusion of only 16 GB of storage in this Phone Max 3+. The public requires space above other sections. Especially considering that the system always uses a good pinch and the usable space is less. It is a point that they should take into account for future terminals. It is true that it is possible to insert a micro SD up to 256 GB, but many applications still cannot transfer to external memory.

On the other hand, the touch sensor works quite well and, although it is not one of the fastest, it works perfectly.

Camera

On this occasion, the main camera incorporates a 13-megapixel Samsung sensor with autofocus and LED flash. In environments with good light take good photos. However, the photos sin of showing little detail in the very shaded or illuminated areas. That's due to the low dynamic range of the sensor. It is possible to alleviate this defect as much as possible using the HDR function. This option of high dynamic range shows us some photos with better exposure, but neither can they take from where there is not. Sharpness is a parameter that is represented in an acceptable way. The same does not happen with colors, which sometimes appear somewhat saturated.

Without HDR

With HDR

Autofocus performs quite well. So shots are fired quickly.

In dark scenes the quality of the photos is acceptable. More likely, the image may appear blurry or very noisy. Colors are muted but better than might be expected. It is not surprising either that the autofocus takes longer than necessary to act. The same is true indoors where lack of sharpness and blurred areas is more common.

The camera menu is intuitive, easy to use and has the necessary options. The only downside is the style of the interface. It is somewhat dated compared to other interfaces more in line with the latest versions of Android.

It is possible to record video with a maximum quality of 1920 × 1080.

The front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor and an 84-degree angle to capture a larger area. This camera takes more than decent photos both outdoors and indoors.

Sound

In this section it is necessary to talk about both the multimedia speaker and the Bluetooth headphones included as standard.

The multimedia speaker has a positive point in regards to its loudness. It has both good power and clear sound reproduction. In this respect, Energy does not fail. Perhaps a negative point is its position on the edge of the back cover. The back is not completely flat, but curves around the edges. Therefore, even if the sound continues to be heard well, it loses some intensity if it is placed face up.

The included headphones are the Energy Earphones Bluetooth 1 in- ear. They have a great quality and the Bluetooth version they bring is the 4.1 class II. I was pleasantly surprised by its sound power and good equalization. Further. Its microphone is incorporated with a system for reduction. This will facilitate optimal sound reception for our interlocutor. It is possible to charge them through its microUSB port. 100% charging takes just over an hour. In our case this gave us around 5 and a half hours of playback.

Battery

This model stands out for its high autonomy. This is possible with the 4000 mAh of built- in battery. In this case, with normal use of social networks, videos, music and web browsing, the battery lasted two days and four hours. Of this duration, 6.5 hours are those that correspond to the use of the screen. A really good duration and that surely many will appreciate.

As for the battery recharge, it has fast charge. It is possible to fully recharge the battery in an hour and a half.

Connectivity

Among the connectivity options we find, obviously, Bluetooth 4.1 technology. In addition to Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, GPS, 4G LTE, FM radio and interestingly: 3.5mm Jack plug connection. It is a consideration for customers not to focus solely on Bluetooth headsets and give choice to those who own other headsets.

Conclusion and final words of Energy Phone Max 3+

The Energy Phone Max 3+ is a mid-range terminal that can put out chest in some of its sections. The most obvious are those related to sound. Both your multimedia speaker, music software or included headphones grate at a very good level. The battery is another section that will make us enjoy that music and any other task for many hours. Another well-resolved section is the design of the terminal. The same does not happen with the camera, which simply complies. It is not focused on demanding people in this area.

What drawbacks can it have then? Without a doubt, internal storage. 16 GB are scarce today. On the other hand, the processor and RAM are sufficient for the use of apps without much requirement, but they have room for improvement.

Chinese smartphones have done harm when it comes to offering high performance at a low price. The problem is that having a company in Spain is not the same as in China. Companies here have expenses on taxes and imports than in other countries. Luckily, there are Spanish companies that still take risks in this saturated market.

It is possible to get the Energy Phone Max 3+ for a recommended price of € 189, Although on Amazon we see it listed for 174 euros.
