The phone feels good in the hand thanks to its curved lines and doesn't feel overly large. However, one-handed use can be cumbersome for some people. The Phone Max 3+ is elegant, but it sins of having too much front without taking advantage. It is a boat to which more and more brands are added for obvious reasons: large screen on a more contained front.

On the other hand, the 161 grams of weight are not too noticeable and the terminal feels robust. It is a good weight considering the battery capacity it incorporates.

Going into detail in terms of design, there are no notable developments. The proximity sensor, call speaker, notification LED and 5-megapixel front camera are located on the upper front. For its part, the lower area has only the fingerprint sensor. The buttons are digital to move through the menus are built into the screen.

The rear has a 13 megapixel camera next to the flash on top and the speaker for multimedia content on the bottom.

OS

Android 7.0 Nougat is the default version that comes with the phone. Luckily, you could almost say that it comes with a pure Android version. Only the style of the digital buttons breaks that effect. In options, a section is available to change the position of these buttons and even the possibility of removing them. In this case, the same button that is used as a fingerprint sensor is the one that will be used to navigate through the menus. Touching the sensor will take us to the previous screen, pressing it in will make us go to the beginning and if it is pressed twice quickly it will show us the open applications in the background.

Other extra options is to program the terminal on and off. It is an option that I have not tried, but it can be useful in certain occasions to save even more battery.

When it comes to shoehorn-stuffed apps, the system isn't riddled with them like on Chinese mobiles. The only one we will find is an app about Club Energy. On the other hand, Energy Sistem has done well to include its own music player. The app works quite well, it allows you to select folders and automatically adjust if we have and select a player of the own brand.

A sublime aspect is the robustness of the system. During its testing, no strange bugs or errors have been seen. Which cannot be said of many terminals today, whose policy is to remove patches instead of launching a stable system at first.

The system is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T720 GPU, and 2 GB of RAM. All this offers more than correct performance for apps and games that do not require much processing. For some games that required more power, the load times were slower and the fps scratched a bit from time to time. Obviously, we are talking about a mid-range terminal. You can't ask the elm for pears either.

The Benchmark carried out AnTuTu gave a result of 34902. A somewhat low result and quite far from other processors such as the Helio P25 of Chinese brands.

Really, not everyone needs raw power for day-to-day use of a smartphone. However, a widespread complaint from people is usually the lack of space in their terminals. It is increasingly normal to see terminals with at least 64 GB of storage. Therefore, I was surprised by the inclusion of only 16 GB of storage in this Phone Max 3+. The public requires space above other sections. Especially considering that the system always uses a good pinch and the usable space is less. It is a point that they should take into account for future terminals. It is true that it is possible to insert a micro SD up to 256 GB, but many applications still cannot transfer to external memory.

In dark scenes the quality of the photos is acceptable. More likely, the image may appear blurry or very noisy. Colors are muted but better than might be expected. It is not surprising either that the autofocus takes longer than necessary to act. The same is true indoors where lack of sharpness and blurred areas is more common.

The camera menu is intuitive, easy to use and has the necessary options. The only downside is the style of the interface. It is somewhat dated compared to other interfaces more in line with the latest versions of Android.

The included headphones are the Energy Earphones Bluetooth 1 in- ear. They have a great quality and the Bluetooth version they bring is the 4.1 class II. I was pleasantly surprised by its sound power and good equalization. Further. Its microphone is incorporated with a system for reduction. This will facilitate optimal sound reception for our interlocutor. It is possible to charge them through its microUSB port. 100% charging takes just over an hour. In our case this gave us around 5 and a half hours of playback.

Battery

Chinese smartphones have done harm when it comes to offering high performance at a low price. The problem is that having a company in Spain is not the same as in China.
