Energy phone pro 3 review in Spanish (complete analysis)

Table of contents:

Anonim

There is a Spanish manufacturer that in recent years has managed to open a gap in the mid / high range of smartphones. We refer to the manufacturer Energy Sistem. The company, which at the beginning was only dedicated to the manufacture of multimedia products, jumped into the smartphone market three years ago, and today we are going to analyze its most powerful terminal so far: the Energy Phone Pro 3.

Energy Sistem is a Spanish company that sells phones and other gadgets in many countries around the world. Little by little it has been making its way and today it is more than a respectable firm.

Its phones do not deal with the premium range, but are focused on covering the entry or mid-range range, because the phones it manufactures are often quite affordable.

We thank Energy Sistem for trusting the product for its analysis.

Energy Phone Pro 3 technical features

Design

This is the section in which, generally, most manufacturers evolve. We see that for the first time it is committed to a full metal body to obtain more resistance and durability, something that is difficult to see in the mid-range.

In certain cases, and especially in the black models, you can see that the fingerprints are partially reflected in the back of the smartphone, despite being metal. Which is recommended to buy a cover, we recommend the original.

As for the use of space, we find a front with decent frames and a 5.5-inch screen. For the first time, we have found a fingerprint reader, something that is not very pleasant. The fingerprint reader works very well, at the highest level, but the downside is the fact that we don't have capacitive navigation buttons on the sides of it, so you have to resort to the buttons on the screen.

At the back we find the Energy Sistem logo, accompanied at the top by the double camera that will give so much benefit to this terminal.

The volume buttons were located on the right side of the phone, just above the power button. The left side was reserved to house the microSD and SIM tray.

From the first moment, what is most astonishing is the great improvement in terms of the quality of the materials, the careful design and the refined construction.

Although it can be a little slippery, the touch of the Energy Phone Pro 3 is very pleasant, it comes with anti-fingerprint treatment and generous dimensions (76.4 x 154 x 8.2 mm) and weighs about 160 grams.

The speakers are one on each side of the USB C port on the bottom. At the top left is the headphone jack.

screen

The multimedia section is where the high range of terminals, in general, stands out, having the best cameras and screens of the moment. This section is often the most attractive of a mobile for the average user.

In the Energy Phone Pro 3 we find a 5.5-inch capacitive touch IPS screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Its pixel density is 400 dpi, which allows us to see with full definition and no pixelation anywhere, offering a visually pleasing sharpness.

It does not have Gorilla Glass protection, but it opts for another type of technology, called Dragontail (which is the alternative and cheapest Gorilla Glass protector), with which we will be safe on a daily basis from bumps and scratches. In addition, it has oleophobic coatings to avoid leaving traces.

On the subject of how the screen performs, it must be said that it fulfills what was promised and it is evident in all sectors the sharpness, as well as the interpretation of colors. Although we also have to clarify that, under the sunlight, sometimes visibility is reduced. A very good screen with some "buts" that may improve in the near future.

The glass stretches across the entire front and includes 2.5D technology, which means the edges are smoothly curved.

On both sides you can see two silver stripes, which are intended to make the mobile more beautiful, and which are cut at the top and bottom.

Dual camera

One of the most surprising features in this new Energy Phone Pro 3 is, with total security, the double rear camera, which until now we have only seen on a few phones, all occupying the so-called high-end market.

The Energy Phone Pro 3 is geared towards selective blur, bokeh, and 3D photography. So characteristic of the new Chinese flagships and that they will reach top brands?

According to the manufacturer, the two cameras were placed in a vertical position because the studies they carried out in their laboratories indicated that this is the best for capturing images.

Energy Sistem is the first Spanish manufacturer to launch a dual camera smartphone. Leaving aside the design, which is the most prominent aspect of this Energy Sistem mobile, we are left with its double camera.

Here we find two sensors, one 13 megapixel with an aperture f / 2.0 signed by Sony and its IMX258 sensor, which we have seen so well in other reviews. Additionally it has 5 megapixels on the front, with dual LED flash and good level of detail. What this camera does is show various background blur and 3D modes, which can be quite interesting.

Overall, the camera is good, with a good dynamic range and good color rendering, except that it tends to burn the image a bit sometimes, in bright light. At night, like all the ranges in its sector, its efficiency drops a little, but it is understandable if we consider its acquisition cost.

However, it is still a superior camera in some situations to other smartphones in this range. Bravo for Energy Sistem!

Thanks to this new technology, the Energy Phone Pro 3 will be able to edit photos at once, by being able to adjust the focus point, eliminate unwanted objects or people and even see in 3D.

As a curiosity, it can be added that it is even possible to use the popular Google CardBoard for three-dimensional display.

With the help of the dual camera and its software, it is possible to experiment with depth of field and take original photos, with which you can also make fantastic edits, such as outlining objects in an image and pasting them into other photographs.

But for what double camera?

On the one hand, using a double sensor is supposed to capture brighter and more detailed photos, since it adds the information captured by both sensors.

However, the biggest attraction of a dual-camera smartphone is that it allows you to create bokeh or blur effects. Through these effects you can blur a part of the image to put the focus on another point that we choose.

Bokeh effect: If we want to use the 'bokeh effect', we will have to activate it previously from the camera app. Once activated, when editing the photo is when the bokeh effect is applied (and not when the photograph is being taken).

As we can see, the bokeh effect of the Energy Phone Pro 3 is useful, but it is not up to the high end of other smarthpones.

3D photos: This is an effect that attracts attention, since it is not currently included in many mobiles. Once you have taken a photo, you can apply a 3D effect to it, which you can see using virtual reality glasses.

Another interesting function offered by the manufacturer Energy Sistem is to be able to combine the images taken with the rear and front cameras. Thus, the user can choose which image will be placed within a Polaroid-like frame.

performance

As for performance, we are in front of a powerful terminal, which can with all games, perhaps not as cool as a high-end terminal, but quite good.

Just as we find fluidity in the smartphone, we have also found almost a pure Android (it changes the navigation menu a little…) that helps a lot to have a very good user experience and an innate lightness difficult to find in this price sector.

If you are looking for a smartphone that supports several hours of games and heavy applications, this will not be the best option. But if you intend to use it more moderately with simple Android applications and games, this processor will work very well and will not give you performance problems.

Processor and storage

Perhaps, for the price of this smartphone, it could have included the latest generation of the Qualcomm processor. However, in this case we have a MediaTek MT6750 eight-core processor running at 1.5 GHz, accompanied by a Mali T880 GPU. It is a not very powerful processor, as we can imagine, but sufficient for most basic daily tasks.

Probably the least pleasing is his temperature control. This smartphone increases its temperature very easily when using games like Clash Royale for a while and feeling more demanded with heavy applications.

RAM memory has a total of 3 GB and 32 GB of internal less, if you don't think little, don't worry, you can expand it to an additional 256 GB using a microSD card. The operating system that comes from the factory is Android 7.0 Nougat.

Battery

The battery cannot be removed, which can be a problem if you want to replace it in the future. With its 3000 mAh Li-Po capacity, we can say that we are in front of a good terminal.

The battery can last on average, with a varied use of WiFi and 4G, with social networks and games, between 4 to 5 hours of screen. Yes it could be better, but with a good optimization by Energy Sistem or a few tweaks we can earn much more.

The Energy Phone Pro 3 will not stand out precisely for its autonomy, although if you do a limited use, it will easily be one day away from the outlet. In addition, thanks to its fast charge function, you will be able to get around 66% of battery with just one hour of charge.

In summary, a very good performance, but it can be improved with some updates.

Audio with good power

Regarding audio, Energy Sistem included two speakers at the bottom of the mobile. This location was chosen to avoid losing sound power when the smartphone is resting on a surface, although it could be blocked when we are playing and we have the smartphone horizontally.

The power is more than acceptable, although when the volume is turned up a lot, certain sounds are distorted.

Integrated fingerprint reader

On the Energy Phone Pro 3 the fingerprint reader is located on a button on the front. This reader works correctly and is capable of detecting fingerprints most of the time. It is not only necessary to unlock the phone, as more and more applications are launched that use this reader to read the fingerprints, such as bank applications and online payments. Very pleasant surprise, but beware, the fingerprint detects it in a single position… in case you do it in another position it will not read it.

Final words and conclusions about Energy Phone Pro 3

The Energy Sistem Phone PRO 3 has surprised us a lot, since we have seen a great evolution compared to other terminals that we analyzed during 2016, with a double camera that gives it a “different” touch and represents its biggest bet, an acceptable performance, a very good design and a fingerprint sensor that works really well.

In view of these characteristics and specifications, there is no doubt that we are facing a terminal that will become part of the so-called 'mid-range' on the market, but with a high-end touch of the most interesting, such as the double camera or the powerful performance that we are going to have with a processor like the Mediatek.

We recommend reading the best smartphone with camera

The price of the Energy Phone Pro 3 is 269 euros both nationally (Spain) and in some European countries. In short, it is a very well manufactured and even smartphone in all its lines, which is at a very competitive price, and in which Energy Sistem has managed to introduce a model that can compete equally with other manufacturers.
