Intel skylake igpu specs

Anonim

Information has been leaked on the specifications of the iGPUs that will integrate the future Intel Skylake processors for LGA 1151 socket. As has been happening so far, Intel will offer up to five variants of its integrated graphics that will be integrated according to the range to which the processor belongs.

Among the five variants of the upcoming Intel integrated graphics we have the following options: GT1, GT1.5, GT2, GT3e and GT4e.

Models with the -e suffix are the most powerful options and include eDRAM memory, 64MB on LGA1151 Quad Core socket processors, and 128MB eDRAM on the "H" series of high-performance Broadwell processors.

We will describe the five available options:

-GT4e: it is the most powerful option of all and will be accompanied by 64 or 128 MB of eDRAM depending on the platform as we have explained before. It will have 72 EUs (Execution Units), which is 50% more than Broadwell's most powerful IGP, which has 48. As a result, models with GT4e graphics are expected to be considerably more powerful in terms of 3D performance including games.. It will be the only new iGPU since the others will be the same ones used at Broadwell.

-GT3e: it will have 48 EUs and will have 64MB of eDRAM cache. It will be used in Intel ā€œUā€ series (ultra low power) SoCs.

-GT2: will be the most common in the series, and will have 24 EUs. It will be available on the LGA1151 socket CPUs, TDP 15W "U" SoCs, "Y" SoCs and "H" series processors.

-GT1.5: It will have 18 EUs and will be integrated in the dual-core desktop processors for LGA1151 socket.

-GT1 will have 12 Eus. They will also be used in dual-core desktop processors and some TDP 15W "U" chips.
