Specifications, price and performance of the nvidia gtx 1170 (rumor)

The GeForce GTX 1170 begins to show its leg before its imminent announcement. This 11 series graphics card is belongs to the next generation of high-end GPUs from NVIDIA based on the Turing architecture.

According to the latest leaks, rumors, and information provided by wccftech , the GeForce GTX 1170 is powered by a GPU codenamed GT104 and is about 400mm². The GTX 1170 would have around 2, 688 CUDA cores, a 256-bit GDDR6 memory interface, and 8 to 16 GB of 12 Gbps GDDR6 memory, which is slightly slower than the GTX 1180.

The graphics card is expected to have a clock speed of 1.5GHz, capable of reaching 1.8GHz. The TDP of this graphics card has not been confirmed to date, but it is expected to be between 140-160W.

performance

The maximum compute throughput in FP32 is expected to be around 9.75 TFLOPS, depending on the clock speed the graphics card can achieve and how often it does. This would be placing it in the same category as the current NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Price and publication date

The GeForce GTX 1170 may very well go on sale in the summer. All leaks and rumors point to a debut around the same time as the GTX 1180 in July, so the GTX 1170 can be expected to be available on the shelves at the same time or just a couple of weeks after the GTX. 1180.

As for prices, rumors say NVIDIA wants to charge more for the GTX 1170 compared to the GTX 1070, with some rumors pointing to a price of around $ 499.
