The APU Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G processors will play a key role in the low-end Ryzen CPU range with integrated graphics. These chips are an improvement to the current 2200G and 2400G in the low range, which currently have prices of approximately 85 and 130 euros.

Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G specifications and price

The Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G are based on the Zen + architecture and not on Zen 2, this is important to clarify, since the APUs take a generation lag compared to the non-APU desktop models.

The new APUs are 65W TDP processors. The 3200G is a quad-core, four-wire CPU, while the 3400G has eight threads. Since they are based on Zen + (12nm), unlike the rest of the Ryzen 3000 series (7nm), they are not compatible with PCI Express 4.0.

As we can see in the graphic shared by AMD, the 3200G is a 4-core and 4-wire chip with 6MB of cache and frequencies of 3.6 / 4.0 GHz. This model will come with integrated Vega 8 graphics that comes with improved frequencies of 1250MHz (The 2200G came with 1100 MHz). The official price is $ 99.

The Ryzen 5 3400G comes with 4 threads and 8 cores with 6MB of cache. In this case, the frequencies are 3.7 / 4.2 GHz, a rather interesting improvement compared to the previous 2400G model. The integrated graphics are powered by an RX Vega 11 running at 1400 MHz. In this case, AMD decided to add a Wraith Spire heatsink to the package.

Both chips will be available starting July 7, as will the rest of the Ryzen 3000 series.
