EVGA has shown this CES 2019 what is its highest-end RTX 2080 Ti model, the Kingpin. This is intended for true extreme overclockers due to its impressive features.

EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin - High-end graphics with hybrid cooling

The key to EVGA's Kingpin models is that part of the PCB design is done by the eponymous alias overclocker, Vince Lucido “Kingpin”. In addition, this model includes an interesting hybrid cooling system that combines a fan on the one hand and a liquid cooling system on the other , so that the liquid makes contact with the GPU directly and indirectly with the copper base and various heatsinks of the same material (not the aluminum we are used to). The fan supports the cooling of these heatsinks.

In the liquid cooling part, we have a 120mm radiator that has a single fan. It is also true that, given the class of users this GPU is intended for, a large part will end up removing the heatsink to incorporate even more advanced custom cooling systems, including liquid nitrogen.

This graphic features a 19-phase VRM powered by no less than three PCIe connectors, enabling users to perform an extreme overclock without further limitation than the chip itself.

As a final feature, it is worth mentioning the inclusion of a very interesting LCD screen that gives important information about the graphics card, that we know at least voltages and consumption. This is very interesting to check the necessary parameters for the OC without using software and attending to the GPU itself.

We still don't have price and availability data for this RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin, but it will obviously cost a lot. If normal models already have a high price, and knowing that this model is intended for the select niche of extreme overclockers, we can expect it to far exceed the "usual" figure of 1, 200 euros that usually costs 2080 Ti.
