Face ID, the facial recognition system, is one of the star features of the iPhone X. Although, it seems that it will be a short time until this function reaches Android. Because it has been revealed that Snapdragon 845 will have a facial recognition system very similar to what is in the iPhone X.

Qualcomm had already been working on this development for a while. A new facial recognition system, whose technology is similar to Face ID. Finally it is revealed that it will come integrated into its new Snapdragon 845 processor. High-end processor that will be released in 2018.

Snapdragon 845 for high-end

This processor is the new high-end of the firm. So it is expected to be one of the best, or even the best, processor to launch next year. And there are many expectations around it. Better performance, less power consumption and new features like facial recognition. There are reasons to think of Snapdragon 845 as a superior processor.

At the moment it is not yet known which phones are going to have Snapdragon 845. Everything indicates that they will be the new high-end Samsung, Xiaomi and LG. Although the exact models that will carry this integrated processor are not yet known exactly. Although, it has been revealed that the new Samsung will have facial recognition, so it could be the Galaxy S9.
