In the general public it is recognized that a laptop or ultrabook is not intended to play video games, at least not powerful video games, but one of the most important companies in the sector has wanted to change this. During the month of January, Razer, the leader in high-end peripherals, presented in society its ultrabok Razer Blade Stealth that came equipped with an i7 processor, 8Gb of RAM and a solid disk of up to 512GB depending on the configuration chosen. So far everything normal but Razer surprised with an external peripheral called Razer Core.

Razer core

Razer Core is a peripheral that allows you to connect any PC graphics card to the Razer Blade Stealth ultrabook, thus benefiting from a graphic acceleration that would otherwise be impossible in an ultrabook without the battery lasting as long as a breath. The Razer Core and the Razer Blade Stealth ultrabook benefit from the Thunderbolt 3 connection, which allows a transfer rate between the two devices of up to 40Gbps, making this connection in a USB 3.0 would be impossible due to speed limitations, something that does not happen with Thunderbolt 3.

Until now only the ultrabook had been released but now we can know what will be the price and the release date for the Razer Core. If we buy the Razer Core separately it will cost us about 499 dollars, if we buy the 'pack' together with the Razer Blade Stealth (999U $ D) the peripheral will cost 399 dollars. The Razer Core is expected to be available on the market in April.

Razer Core can be obtained for $ 499

Keep in mind that we will not be able to place any graphics card on the Razer Core, for AMD graphics cards we can only add the one from the R9 series onwards, while for Nvidia it will only be compatible with GTX 750 graphics cards onwards.
