EIZO has announced the first FORIS NOVA 21.6-inch OLED monitor. This special edition monitor is perfect for private 4K video, streaming and video game entertainment, including HDR content.

This OLED monitor is so 'exclusive, that EIZO only made 500 units. FORIS NOVA is a compact 21.6-inch 4K monitor that covers 80% of the BT.2020 color gamut and features a sleek design.

Based on a OLED panel made by JOLED, the EIZO FORIS NOVA offers a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, 132 - 330 nits of brightness (base / peak), a contrast ratio of 1, 000, 000: 1, and a black response time -white-black 0.04 ms. The display can reproduce 1.07 billion colors, covers 80% of the BT.2020 color space, and is compatible with HDR10 and HLG HDR formats.

The monitor connects to PCs using two HDMI 2.0 inputs, it also has 1W stereo speakers, a headphone output and a line output.

EIZO is officially positioning its FORIS NOVA for entertainment, although its limited support for the BT.2020 color gamut may also come in handy for those semi-pro edition users.

The bezels are made of die-cast aluminum to enhance the viewing experience, while holding an extraordinarily slim OLED panel. The gray tricolor scheme was carefully selected so that it was not imposed in any environment.

EIZO is offering a 3 year warranty for this monitor. At the moment, it will be available for the territories of the United States, Europe, China and Japan. The availability date, they warn, will vary by country. The price was not revealed.
