Futuremark VRMark: the definitive benchmark for virtual reality
The new Futuremark VRMark will test all your hardware to indicate if your equipment meets what is necessary so that you can enjoy the best experience in virtual reality, the conditions will be very demanding in the face of the need for a much higher framerate than in the case of traditional game. Virtual reality requires a minimum of 90 FPS that will be divided into 45 FPS for each eye in order to achieve a smooth use experience and avoid dizziness and other inconveniences. All tests work directly on your monitor so you do not need to use an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive to run the test.
We recommend our configuration post for virtual reality.
The VRMark Orange Room test shows the impressive level of graphic detail that can be obtained with a team that meets the requirements for virtual reality systems, if your team is able to pass this test you can be sure that it is ready to work with the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. You can use the test both to evaluate the performance of your equipment and to appreciate the graphic quality that it is capable of offering with your own eyes.
VRMark includes support for Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit and Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit operating systems so it will be accessible to a large number of users. It is offered in two versions, the first is the VRMark Basic Edition which is free and will allow you to enjoy the VRMark Orange Room and all its benefits. The second version is the Advanced Edition that has an official price of $ 20 and in addition to the above, it will give you access to the Blue Room that will give you more details on the operation of your equipment, customize the test and the experience mode.
