CL14 available for new G.Skill models
The brand announces this improvement in the performance of its RAM memory belonging to the Trident Z RGB, Trident Z Royal and Trident Z Neo series. Said renovation has as its protagonist the low latency, which will be CL14, an improvement that we like because the market is filled with CL15 and CL16 memories .
The memories will work at 3200 MHz and their timings will be:
- CL: 14. tRCD: 18. tRP: 18. tRAS: 38.
In fact, the RAM memory capacities are going to be much more interesting, according to the brand. We will also have 256GB (32GBx8), 128GB (32GBx4) and 64GB (32GBx2) kits, so we will have quad-channel and dual-channel platforms.
Optimizations for Intel and AMD platforms
G.Skill has taken the battle between the two manufacturers seriously, so they have offered optimizations for High Performance Teams (HEDT). For this reason, they have paid attention to the quad-channel support of the latest HEDT platforms.
In the case of Intel, they have put the focus on the X299 platform, becoming very interesting memories for the Intel Core i9-10900X or the i9-10940X. So we see it in the following images. This company offers 256GB (32GBx8) DDR4-3200 CL14-18-18-38 memory.
On the other hand, G.Skill has not forgotten AMD, especially the third generation Ryzen Threadripper. This obsession with low latency kits has made G.Skill deliver super efficient Trident Z Neo memories with the latest Threadripper 3960X. For this platform, it has prepared 256 GB DDR4-3200 CL14-18-18-38 (32GBx8) kits, practically the same as Intel.
Not only that, but the RAM maker has kept an eye on the X570 chipset, supporting AMD Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9 desktop processors. In this case, G.Skill will offer 128GB and 64GB kits with the same timings as above.
XMP 2.0 support
With all this, the Taiwanese manufacturer has not forgotten those enthusiasts who overclock RAM memory. The G.Skill team knows that XMP profiles are ideal for this purpose, so these new memories will support XMP 2.0. We will not suffer anymore!
Launch for 2020
The brand ensures that these kits will be available in early 2020, so in the next two months we will have the possibility to buy them. Meanwhile we recommend reading one of our guides on the best RAM memory on the market . What do you think of the new memories of G.Skill? Would you buy them?
