G.Skill announces new memory specs for the Trident Z Royal DDR4 RGB, which are intended for use with the latest unlocked 28-core Intel Xeon W-3175X processor.

Operating on a hexadecimal channel with 6 or 12 module kits, these new Trident Z Royal 6 channel memory kits can reach insane memory speeds of up to DDR4-4000 CL17-18-18-38 at 1.35V, which feature circuitry Integrated Samsung B-die memory. With fast memory speed and high capacity, these hexadecimal channel memory kits are perfect for high-load workstations when paired with the 28-core Xeon processor.

For the first time, this new platform introduces 6-channel memory support in the consumer market, which until now only existed on servers.

With the 96GB (8GBx12) DDR4-4000 CL17 memory kit, it is possible to achieve a read bandwidth speed of 122GB / s, a substantial increase over four-channel platforms. Using 16GB high-capacity modules, this platform allows a maximum of 192GB of memory capacity with a 16GBx12 kit.
