GALAX announces its new GAMER III DDR4 RAMs with advanced RGB LED lighting, for a greater degree of customization than in previous versions. It was last year when GALAX launched its DDR4 memory kits, which had LED lighting but was not RGB, so the degree of customization was not so great for users addicted to 'modding'.
GALAX GAMER III DDR4 with RGB LED lighting without wiring
With this new GAMER III DDR4 model, GALAX takes a necessary step with the implementation of RGB LED lighting without the need for any additional wiring.
This time GALAX is offering memories that look incredible inside any tower, but at the cost of offering slower memories. The GAMER III DDR4 offers a speed of 2666MHz frequency and CL 15, which is low for what we are used to, but it is possible that later we will see GAMER III memories with a higher speed than this.
Differences between LED lighting and RGB LEDs?
Previous GALAX memory models only offered LED light in pre-defined colors, red, blue, and green . This was insufficient for those who wanted true customization. With RGB LED lighting, the number of colors is now much greater and sequences can be created as we see today in many backlit keyboards, which can change color constantly and with different patterns.
At the moment GALAX has not commented on the price of these memories or the motherboards that will be compatible with it. Remember, when not using cabling, the lighting depends on the current from the DDR4 slots, so it is likely that only some motherboards can take advantage of it.
We will keep you informed.
