Palit fully entered the SSD market just over two years ago with basic offerings to simplify product development and avoid competition. We know that Palit primarily sells graphics cards and has a fairly demanding gaming clientele. For this gaming sector, the company is now rolling out its high-end SSDs called the GALAX Hall of Fame, which comes with an advanced controller and sophisticated cooling system.

GALAX Hall of Fame arrives in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions

The GALAX Hall of Fame units are based on Phison's PS5012-E12 controller (NVMe 1.3, eight NAND channels with 32 CE, a DDR4 / DDR3L interface for storage of DRAM, LDPC caches, etc.). The SSD in M.2 format uses Toshiba BiCS 3D NAND flash memory (256 Gb 64L 3D TLC is most likely), and they have a PCIe 3.1 x4 interface. The drives are offered in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations, no less.

Depending on the version, the HOF SSDs are supplied with the M.2-2280 module, as well as with the HHHL form factors. The second features a CNC machined cooling system with a heat pipe to ensure consistent performance under high loads, while the first has a more typical heatsink as well as RGB LED lighting controlled by proprietary software.

Also released in HHHL format

GALAX Hall of Fame SSDs offer sequential read speeds of up to 3400 MB / s, sequential write speeds of up to 3000 MB / s (2 TB HHHL version, see the table below for exact specifications of other drives) as well as random read / write IOPS up to 460K / 660K.

GALAX HOF SSDs are currently mainly available in China. It remains to be seen if Palit decides to offer them in other countries and what trademarks they will carry.
