Galax surprises with its own motherboard with socket am4
Table of contents:
At Chinajoy 2019, Galax, also known as Galaxy and KFA2 , has unveiled one of the company's first motherboard designs in many years. This is not the first time that the company has shown motherboards, the last example was in 2013, when it launched an Intel X87 socket motherboard.
Galax shows interest in AMD with AM4 motherboard
What's most interesting about this is that Galax is showing interest in AMD, not Intel, revealing a motherboard that uses AMD's X570 chipset. Little is known about the motherboard shown below, other than its use of the M-ATX form factor and relatively few power phases. This is not a high-end product, but it could be the start of a wider range of Galax motherboards. In fact, the company confirmed that there will be more variants of AM4 motherboards and, at the moment, it would only be available for the Chinese territory.

Galax already produces graphics cards, DDR4 memory modules, SSDs and a small range of gaming accessories. Motherboards could be the company's next step in the PC world. Still, it would be difficult to ensure that this model can reach the retail market in Europe or the United States.
That said, with Galax being one of the first companies to create a PCIe 4.0 SSD, it makes sense for the company to endorse AMD over Intel in the motherboard space; Why build a motherboard that is not compatible with your fastest SSD?
