Gameband was born from the collaboration between Atari and the Now Computing company, with a concept very similar to the 'Gameband Minecraft' bracelet that was launched in 2015. That bracelet allowed Minecraft to be taken anywhere and played on any computer, storing games on cloud-based servers.

That smart bracelet had a small customizable LED screen, 8GB of storage capacity, had a USB connector and allowed Minecraft to be played on any computer. The price was 70 euros.
