Control has gone on sale, and just in time, Nvidia launches the new GeForce 436.15 "Game Ready" GPU drivers with which it intends to get the most out of its GeForce graphics cards.

Nvidia GeForce 436.15 Now Available

This release is quite routine for Nvidia. In this case, though, it's a bit more noticeable because Control represents the best use of Ray Tracing in a game so far for the green team.

Even without RTX enabled, Control is a demanding game. Please note that Nvidia does not mention any specific performance improvements, but it is recommended to install it anyway to avoid failure of any kind.

In addition to being optimized for Control, the 436.15 driver offers a couple of bug fixes. They include:

Corrections and known bugs

  • : Corruption of the image on the game tracks. The failure that occurred when installing the drivers on a system with GPUs of mixed architectures, for example, Fermi and Pascal.

There are still some outstanding issues in Windows 10. These include the following:

  • : Game may crash when playing in DirectX 12 mode.: Game crashes with “Your rendering device is lost” error.: When G-Sync is on, flickering occurs with video playing at YouTube full screen in FireFox when you hover your mouse pointer over the timeline.

As it applies to Firefox and G-Sync, Nvidia says you can avoid the problem by setting the refresh rate to 60Hz or 120Hz (or any refresh rate divisible by 60). Or if you want to play videos full screen with Firefox on a G-Sync monitor, Nvidia recommends creating a profile and setting it to V-Sync-On.

You can install the latest drivers through GeForce Experience or follow this link to get and install it manually.
