AMD graphics cards have become tremendously popular thanks to the boom in Bitcoin and Ethereum mining. The main problem that miners face is that Intel is discontinuing the motherboards with H81 and H85 chipsets that make up the economic ranges, more than enough for the work of mining. MSI has released a new specialized BIOS for cryptocurrency mining and that comes to fix the problems that prevent motherboards to correctly recognize six graphics cards.

MSI already has special BIOS to mine with 6 cards

Users can mount 6 AMD cards on the 100 series motherboards but this does not imply that there are no problems, despite being recognized all of them, exclamation marks appear on the ones placed in positions 3 and 4 in the device manager OS, which is an indication that there is a problem. MSI has listened to user complaints and already has new BIOSes to solve this problem.

ASRock H110 PRO BTC +, mining motherboard with up to 13 graphics cards

The new BIOS allows up to six graphics cards to be used on the Z170-A PRO, Z170A SLI PLUS, Z170 KRAIT GAMING, Z170A KRAIT GAMING, Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X, Z270-A PRO and H270-A PRO motherboards, which will cover the needs of the most demanding miners who do not want to lose an iota of mining power. These BIOS add the " Above 4G memory / Crypto Currency Mining " function that we will have to enable to mine with more than four cards.

To update the BIOS you just have to copy it to the root of a flash drive, connect it to the motherboard and select the M-Flash option within the BIOS itself. You can now download these special BIOS from the official MSI website.
