The Gigabyte 990FX-Gaming is Gigabyte's new top-of-the-range motherboard for AMD's AM3 + platform. It is based on the AMD 990FX chipset and AM3 + socket, which is powered by a 10 + 3 phase VRM and is capable of housing FX-9000 processors with a TDP of 220W. The necessary energy is provided by its 24-pin ATX connector and an 8-pin EPS connector.
