GIGABYTE Ultra Durable ™ 5 Motherboards

All of the 'Classic Contest' competition awards support GIGABYTE's new Ultra Durable ™ 5 technology, which includes components capable of handling very high currents for the CPU power zone, including the IR3550 PowIRstage® chips from International Rectifier, 2X Copper PCB from GIGABYTE and ferrite core chokes that withstand currents up to 60A. Together, they allow operating temperatures of up to 60ºC less than in traditional motherboards.

GIGABYTE's Ultra Durable ™ technology, included in multiple motherboards based on Intel® X79 and Z77 Express chipsets, as well as AMD's impending A85X chipsets, represents the next step in the evolution of motherboard design.

* Test results used for reference only. Results may vary depending on system configuration.

* Up to 60 ° C lower laboratory temperature using a 4-phase IR3550 PowIRstage® with 2X Copper PCB compared to a 4-phase MOSFET D-Pak with 100A load, without heat sink, and for 10 minutes.
