Gigabyte has officially announced its new range of BRIX devices equipped with eighth-generation Intel Core processors, including quad-core processors with the Coffee Lake architecture.

In this way, Gigabyte is making four new systems available to hobbyist users, two of which provide space to install M.2 2280 solid state drives along with 2.5-inch drives to enjoy all the benefits of SSDs and mechanical disks in the same extremely compact equipment. In addition to this, they have 2 SODIMM DDR4 slots that allow the installation of up to 32 GB in dual chanel.

Other features of these new devices are the inclusion of Mini DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, a USB 3.1 type A port, a USB 3.1 type C port, two USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet network interface with the Intel i219-V controller, dual microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Along with them is an expansion card with WiFi 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and a handy VESA mounting bracket.

Gigabyte has not provided any pricing information but is expected to be very similar to previous generation BRIX equipment.
