Gigabyte has announced its new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Xtreme Gaming graphics card that seeks to be the best card on the market based on the Nvidia Pascal GP106 GPU to offer sensational performance to its users.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Xtreme Gaming: features, availability and price

The new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Xtreme Gaming is based on a Pascal GP106 core consisting of a total of 1280 CUDA Cores, 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs operating at a maximum clock frequency of 1, 645 MHz in base mode that rises to 1, 873 MHz in turbo mode. The graphics core is accompanied by a total of 6 GB of GDDR5 memory along with a 192-bit interface. The PCB is powered by a single 8-pin connector and is covered at the rear by an aluminum backplate to protect delicate components. It does not lack an RGB LED lighting system.

As a good Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming series card it makes use of the WindForce 2X Xtreme Gaming heatsink consisting of a dense monolithic aluminum radiator with three 8mm copper heatpipes and two 100mm fans rotating in opposite directions to maximize the flow of generated air. This heatsink takes up expansion slots making it clearly overkill for a card with a 120W TDP but you make sure you get the lowest possible temperatures under air.

Pricing has not been announced.
