Gigabyte releases five new motherboards compatible with xeon skylake
Gigabyte joins the party by launching a total of five new LGA 1151 socket motherboards with support for Intel Xeon processors based on the Skylake microarchitecture.
Gigabyte has announced three new boards from the X170 series and the C236 chipset and two new boards belonging to the X150 series and with the C232 chipset. Two chipsets that are responsible for supporting the Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 processors and DDR4 ECC RAM supporting up to 64 GB at 2133 MHz. They are also compatible with Skylake Pentium, Celeron and Core i3 processors. These motherboards are highly suitable for users who need a solution with a large computing capacity in the professional field and who at the same time want to give a more domestic use to their system.
Other features include numerous PCI-Express slots with support for NVIDIA Quadro or AMD FirePro professional graphics, advanced RAID and NVMe compatible USB 3.1 Type-C and M.2 connectors, Red Killer E2400 to reduce lag in online games, audio with separate section of the PCB and the latest manufacturer technologies within the Ultra Durable category.
Gigabyte has not announced its arrival date or prices.
