GIGABYTE today launched the Aorus RGB AIC series of units. The new series is built with a full-height, single-slot AIC form factor that uses the PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface.

GIGABYTE AORUS RGB comes in 512GB and 1TB capacities

The Aorus RGB AIC combines a Phison PS5012-E12 NVMe 1.3 controller with Toshiba BiCS3 TLC NAND memory. The series basically consists of two models, which differ in storage capacities of 512 GB and 1 TB, which are equipped with 512 MB and 1 GB of DRAM cache, respectively.

As for the 1TB variant, it offers sequential transfer speeds of up to 3, 480 MB / s, and reaches 3, 080 MB / s write. The unit also reaches 610, 000 4K IOPS random read and up to 530, 000 4K IOPS random write. The 512 GB variant, meanwhile, offers up to 3, 480 MB / s of sequential reads, but 2, 100 MB / s of sequential write. 360, 000 4K IOPS random reads and up to 510, 000 IOPS random reads round out the specs.

GIGABYTE uses a passive cooling system with a thermal pad that contacts the controller, NAND chips, and DRAM chips.

RGB LED lighting uses the GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software to control everything that has to do with the lighting of this graphics card. Both variants are backed by a 5-year warranty, as long as the card remains below its nominal resistance of 800 TBW for the 512GB model and 1600 TBW for the 1TB model.

At the moment, we do not know the price they will have.
