Gigabyte is officially launching its TRX40 AORUS motherboards offering great performance for the new third generation AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. The models presented are the TRX40 AORUS MASTER, the TRX40 AORUS PRO WIFI and the TRX40 AORUS XTREME.

TRX40 AORUS, Unlimited performance

Its flagship, the TRX40 AORUS XTREME, a 16 + 3-phase VRM along with its large aluminum heatsink, coupled with an 8mm heatpipe. It is made of nanocarbon with an aluminum I / O armor and a 5 cm chipset fan.

With features such as Intel® X550-AT2 Dual GBE LAN, 8DIMM quad- channel DDR4 memory with XMP 4400MHz + performance, Intel® WIFI 6, 4-way dual-width PCIe slots, GC-TITAN RIDGE AIC.

As we mentioned before, these boards have a 16 + 3 phase direct digital power system with all Infineon components. With a direct feed design and no duplicators, they also have a lower Vcore ripple and higher energy efficiency compared to motherboards that adopt a traditional parallel power design. Each phase in the power design is capable of withstanding up to 70A, for a total output power of 1330A.

A 2X copper Low-Loss PCB design that allows for superior overclocking as it provides a solid amount of power trace paths between components so that the boards can withstand a higher load than most basic models. This design also removes excess heat from the critical area of the VRM, ensuring that the motherboard is capable of handling the highest possible power load.

They feature Fins-Array technology, a stacked fin heat sink design that increases the heat sink surface area to offer 300% more cooling compared to traditional heat sinks.

The TRX40 AORUS XTREME and TRX40 DESIGNARE models include the AORUS Gen4 AIC adapter that enables PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 performance. It comes with four NVMe PCIe 4.0 / 3.0 x4 M.2 slots so users have flexibility for any storage configuration they want. We still do not know the prices they will have.

What do you think of these motherboards? Tell us in the comments.
