In case you were looking for a reliable and powerful solution, GIGABYTE has recently launched a server model with great potential. This new product will be under the name GIGABYTE W42G-P08R and will be aimed at companies where good performance and great potential are sought.
The new ultra-powerful GIGABYTE W42G-P08R server hits the market
This new assembled computer supports rack-mount or tower-mount and will take an important role as a multi-GPU server. For this, it will also be accompanied by dual socket LGA 3647 that will allow high-performance Intel Xeon CPUs both 1st and 2nd Generation.
In addition, there is no lack of support for 12xDDR4 RDIMM / LRDIMM 6-channel RAM and support for 8 interchangeable 3.5 ″ HDDs . We can choose between 8 common SATAs or 6 SATAs + 2xU.2 . On the other hand, we will also have support for 5.25 ″ expansion bays.
As for the PCIe x16 slots, we will have up to 4 reinforced slots that will serve us to mount equipment with professional graphics such as the Nvidia Quadro 6000 .
If we get to assemble such a team, we will need to power all these components, so we will have a pair of 2000W platinum 80 power supplies. This will ensure that we have stable and sufficient performance for any tough task.
To finish, we will have spaces for 6 fans along the chassis. We hope that this added to the fans of many of the components keep the type well, although in case of being suspicious we can install two extra external fans.
With a good selection of components we can get a really high power build.
In the example offered by GIGABYTE itself, they practically pushed the team to their limits and, as you can see, the results were quite positive. It should be remembered that the final performance will always depend on the components that we install.
