Gigabyte X99P-SLI debuts Thunderbolt 3 connectivity
The Gigabyte X99P-SLI arrives in an ATX format and includes an Intel X99 chipset alongside the LGA 2011-3 socket to support Intel's Haswell-E and Broadwell-E processors. It includes a 6 phase power VRM and eight DDR4 DIMM slots with support for a maximum of 128 GB of memory in quad chanel configuration. The board will allow us to build a high-performance graphics system thanks to the presence of four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, two of them being electrically x8. Also with two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots for expansion cards.
We turn to the storage options and we find an M.2 connector, a SATA Express connector and six SATA III connectors so we can install a large number of hard drives. We continue with its characteristics with the presence of a PS / 2 port for keyboard / mouse, three USB 3.0, four USB 2.0 and a USB 3.1 port compatible with the Thunderbolt 3 standard, thus becoming the first motherboard to support it. To finish we have a video outputs in the form of DisplayPort, Intel Gigabit Ethernet network, Realtek ALC1150 audio with independent section of the PCB and DualBIOS.
Its price is not known.
