A few weeks ago reports appeared on new Google Glass glasses that were being developed. Apparently those reports were correct, since some Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 have appeared in the famous Geekbench database showing their performance and revealing the processor they used.

Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 appears in Geekbench with a Snapdragon 710 processor

A new version has been detected in the Geekbench database. The device was also seen on the website of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) last week. So its appearance in the Geekbench database suggests that the time for its presentation by Google is approaching.

The Geekbench listing provides a bit of information about the hardware these glasses will have. The database talks about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor running under Android 8.1.0 with 3GB of RAM. Google is apparently ditching the Intel Atom of the first Google Glass glasses.

The results obtained

The upgrade is also likely to bring a higher-resolution camera and better battery life than the first-generation model. Especially with a Snapdragon 710 inside. That means it might be able to capture 4K UHD video at 30fps. This is just speculation looking at these specs, and a better camera should be logical having been two years since the first Google Glass.

How much does Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 cost?

No price information yet. Although the first Enterprise Edition model was priced at $ 1, 500 at the time, so that's the price range we should expect.
