Google Maps is possibly the application that is being updated the most these weeks. A new feature is announced that will reach the popular application, which is sure to be a success. Since the application will notify you if your taxi deviates from the route. A good way to know if the taxi driver is trying to take advantage of you in this case, and avoid ending up paying too much money.

This feature is being tested in some markets, such as India. So it is expected that it will be launched worldwide shortly. Although we do not have dates for it.

New function in the app

In the application, when searching for a route, you can see that there is a tab called live route sharing. In it you will be able to see this notice, in case said taxi has deviated too much from what is supposed to be the route you have to follow. As we say, it has been in India where Google Maps has started to officially deploy this new function.

It is expected that little by little it will be launched in new countries. But this new function makes clear the importance that the application is acquiring, seeing the many new functions that it is receiving in these weeks.
