Incognito mode is one of the star functions in Google Chrome. It allows you to browse privately, so that none of these pages are saved in history or associated with your Google account. The company is now bringing this feature to one of its most popular applications. Google Maps will soon have this new incognito mode as well.

Google Maps will have incognito mode

Google has announced in this Google I / O 2019 the launch of this mode in the application. In this way, you will be able to browse privately, without the data being associated with the account.

Coming soon to @googlemaps, when you turn on Incognito mode in Maps, your activity — like the places you search or get directions to — won't be saved to your Google Account. Just tap from your profile picture to easily turn it on or off. # io19 pic.twitter.com/z7GRkkmDbn

Incognito mode browsing

The idea is that when using this mode, none of the browsing data or searches that are made are saved or associated with the user's account. So you can use Google Maps privately on the phone. You can search, browse normally and all the usual actions that are done in the app, but without such data being saved or associated with the account.

The way to activate this mode will be simple. Just press on the user's profile photo and a small menu with various options will appear. One of them is this incognito mode, which allows you to navigate in this way. Also, the blue navigation dot becomes dark in this case.

This incognito mode is expected to hit Google Maps in the coming months. Although currently no specific dates have been given for the launch of the same. We hope to know more soon.
