Google pixel 3 and pixel 3 xl: technical specifications in detail

As planned, the technology giant Google has released what is the third generation of its smartphones, if we start counting since it adopted this new name, leaving the Nexus brand for the past. I mean the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

The new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are no longer just rumors

At the “Made by Google” event, the company presented the two new smartphones with which it intends to stand up to the new Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, as well as the top phones from other Android manufacturers. These are the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, two new smartphones that, for better or for worse, will not leave anyone indifferent in the sector.

At the heart of both new smartphones we find a Snapdragon 845 microprocessor, which is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 64 or 128 GB depending on the version chosen by the user.

As for the displays, both the Pixel 3 and its older brother XL have grown to 5.5 inches and 6.3 inches respectively. And also both devices have OLED- type screens .

By introducing inductive wireless charging, the rear design has undergone a slight redesign. Specifically, it is now built in a new material, glass, thanks to which both devices will be able to charge their batteries with energy. And speaking of battery, the Pixel 3 integrates a 2, 915 mAh battery while the Pixel 3 XL offers a 3, 430 mAh battery.

Regarding cameras, it is not possible to highlight any great news compared to the previous version. In fact, neither the size of the lenses nor the size of the sensor have been altered. Of course, the combination of the image processing algorithms, together with the Pixel Visual Core and the new ISP of the integrated Snapdragon 845 processor, promise to offer a higher quality of the photographs obtained.

The main photographic novelties come from the front cameras. Yes, cameras, because now in front of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL we can find two different cameras. With one of them, the user will obtain a standard type photograph, while, simultaneously, the other camera will allow the angle to be increased in order to include a greater amount of image and elements in the photograph.

And in terms of sound, both smartphones have two speakers on the front, making it easy to enjoy stereo sound when playing movies, series or any other type of audiovisual production.
