The Google Stadia cloud gaming service will officially launch on Tuesday and will offer the possibility of playing some video games via streaming, so we only need a good Internet connection to enjoy it on any device that has access to the network without requiring from a gaming PC.

Google Stadia will require buying the games and paying a subscription to play in 4K

Google has given its first users a pleasant surprise, as the number of games available at launch will be about 22, almost double what Google said would be available last week.

Some of these titles were not going to arrive until 2020 according to the latest Google estimate, but the head of Stadia, Phil Harrison, has confirmed it in these last hours.

The list of games available for Stadia is as follows:

  1. Assassin's Creed Odyssey Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2Destiny 2: The Collection (available in Stadia Pro) Farming Simulator 2019Final Fantasy XVFootball Manager 2020Grid 2019GyltJust Dance 2020KineMetro ExodusMortal Kombat 11NBA 2K20Rage 2Rise of the Tomb RaiderRed Dead Redemption 2Samurai Shock the Tomb RaiderThumperTomb Raider 2013Trials RisingWolfenstein: Youngblood

Also, the Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a title that was previously scheduled for 2020, will now arrive at the end of 2019; and Doom: Eternal, Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Cyberpunk 2077 are now officially confirmed for launch in Stadia in 2020. You can see the updated list here.

Google also confirmed that Samurai Showdown will now be available for free to Stadia Pro subscribers at launch. Previously, Destiny 2 was the only free title to play with that subscription.

Google Stadia requires that we buy the games on the service and there are two types of accounts: Stadia Pro that costs $ 10 / month that allows you to play at 4K resolution, with HDR support. Next year there will be a free Google Stadia account with which we can play at a maximum resolution of 1080p. Although the account is free, this is irrelevant since we must also buy the games to enjoy them.

IF we go into detail regarding the technical aspects of the platform, each of the Stadia computers is equipped with an Intel server CPU, an AMD Vega-based GPU, 16GB of shared HBM2 memory, and an SSD. These specifications allow the platform to stream games with 4K resolution and a 60 FPS frame rate, along with HDR and 5.1 surround sound support. The theoretical computing power of 10.7 teraflops, beating the current PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. In order to play at 1080p resolution, a 20 MBPS connection is recommended.
