In this comparison we are going to see how close the GTX 1660 SUPER is compared to the RTX 2060 in 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions in some of the most famous games today.

Testing equipment

The equipment used for testing consisted of a Core i9-9900K processor, an Asus Maximus XI Formula motherboard and 16GB of 3600 MHz Trident Z NEO RAM. In addition, all the games were adjusted to their highest quality.

As we see in this comparison at 1080p resolution, the performance difference between the two is around 10% in most cases, except in DOOM, where the GTX 1660 SUPER manages to outperform its older sister. By increasing the resolution the differences are shortened in terms of frames (as is normal) but an average advantage of 10% or more is maintained for the RTX. Anyway, the SUPER variant manages to match the results with Far Cry 5. It can also be confirmed that both are interesting graphics to play in 1440p resolution, always doing some graphic clipping here and there to keep the 60 fps stable in most games.
