Cyberpunk 2077 is the flagship project CD Projekt RED is working on, an RPG that promises to set the bar really high after what was seen in The Witcher saga. To liven up the wait CD Projekt RED is giving the final touches to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and and Thronebreaker.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and and Thronebreaker are very close already

Announced today, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will finally come out of its beta state on PC next month with the highly anticipated Homecoming update. As shown in the developer video, the update will completely revise the title. Meanwhile, the single-player campaign Thronebreaker, which now has the slogan "The Witcher Tales, " will also launch alongside Gwent in October for PC. While this new adventure set in the The Witcher universe was originally slated for release as part of Gwent, it went on to be a standalone version to increase its reach.

T hronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher, combining narrative-based exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics. Designed by the developers responsible for some of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's most iconic moments, the game turns a truly true story of Meve, a veteran war queen of two Northern Royals: Lyria and Rivia. Facing an impending Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the war and embark on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.

Both Gwent and Thronebreaker will be available exclusively through GOG on October 23, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will need to wait until December 4 for titles to be released on their platforms. Gwent will remain a free card game, but Thronebreaker will come at a price that has yet to be revealed.
