According to the well-known and already famous analyst from the firm KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch an improved version of the AirPods throughout the second half of 2018 so, if you were waiting to buy them, you may need to wear something else comfortable. According to an extract from the latest note sent by investors to Ming-Chi Kuo and to which the specialized website MacRumors has had access, the popular analyst advances his predictions and the possible arrival of new AirPods:

"Media reports in recent days of strong demand for AirPods and Apple struggling to keep up with holiday season demand align with our findings and positive predictions about AirPods in several previous reports.

In 2018, we predict that AirPodS shipments will grow 100% to 26-28 million units. We forecast that the RFPCB ASP for updated AirPods in 2H18 may increase, further benefiting the commercial drive from Unitech and Compeq. ”

Kuo further notes that the second generation of AirPods will include a "smaller quartz component", although he did not provide further details about possible new features, design and / or functions of the headphones.

Furthermore, Kuo said that the new AirPods will continue to be assembled by Taiwanese manufacturer Inventec, with individual components being supplied by Taiwanese companies such as Unitech, Compeq, TXC and HLJ.
