There will be no new amd microarchitecture in 2015
Intel continues its unstoppable path with CPUs for all tastes and soon we will see the first Broadwell processors at 14nm, while an AMD in one of its worst moments in terms of CPUs has decided to postpone new architectures until at least a year and a half at least.
This has been confirmed by its CEO Rory Read who has said that the new processors and APUs that the company will present in 2015 will be based on existing microarchitectures such as Steamroller and Puma +. The changes that will be introduced will surely be aimed at a reduction in the manufacturing process and to gain some performance, respecting exactly the same architectures that already exist today.
Without a doubt, AMD has a very hard and difficult task ahead, it must present in 2016 new processors capable of standing up to Intel Broadwell / Skylake and they will not have anything easy to do.
