Many times we have associated to overclock the processor and the graphics card. But there are other components that we can get a little more performance without damaging its life time. In this case we bring you a small guide on how to overclock the monitor with the NVIDIA panel.

Overclock to Monitor with Nvidia Panel

First of all we must go to the Nvidia control panel. Once inside we must position ourselves in the option: Screen -> Change resolution, select the PC resolution: 2560 x 1440 (or by default that of your monitor: 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200…) and press the " Customize " button

Then we click on " Create custom resolution..."

And we will skip the following screen. We only have to change the frequency from 60 to 96 Hz. Click on the test button, accept and ready. We will do the same process with 120 Hz.

We are again in the main window and all we have to do is select the custom version and the update frequency. As a general rule this model almost assures us the 96 Hz, while the 120 Hz is a bit random (you will see how streaks when activated). For example, the one I have done the review does not reach 120 Hz but it does reach 110 Hz.

Some of you may be wondering and… How do I check if my monitor is stable? The best way is to play long hours, although there is a testufo website that does a quick test and checks if it is stable. We simply have to press the arrow on the right?

And here verifying that it is stable. In your case, the loaded frequency will appear.

I recommend using the monitor at 60hz on the desktop and when you play at the frequency you see appropriate, for me the ideal is 96hz. The change from 60hz to 96 or 120hz is beastly… an experience that I recommend you try.

These tests were performed with the Qnix QX2710 Evolution II monitor.

With this we finish our guide on how to Overclock the Monitor. What is your monitor? What overclock have you been able to remove? 70 HZ, 100 or 120 HZ ?.
