The redesign of a website is something that can take a long time, in addition to encountering problems along the way. It may happen that the company in charge of said redesign ends up losing control. It is the situation with Hertz and Accenture. The first asked the second for a new website, but things did not go as expected, so they are facing a demand of 40 million euros.

Hertz sues Accenture over a website that doesn't work

Since they are accused of not having been able to deliver a web page in good condition, in addition to the many delays. It was supposed to have been delivered at the end of 2017, although at the moment it is no longer expected to happen.

Hertz VS Accenture

It was in 2016 when Hertz asked Accenture to redesign its website, in addition to its online presence. It was established that in December 2017 the project had to be delivered in its entirety, something that finally, as is already known, did not happen. It was asked to extend the time until January 2018, something that was not fulfilled. Then it was asked to be delivered in April 2018, which did not happen either.

So the car rental company has grown weary of this project and of Accenture's many delays and excuses. While they plead not guilty to these charges, it is certainly a major conflict.

The judicial process will begin shortly, since there is no agreement between the two companies. So we will see what ends up happening finally, because this is not over yet.
