The week we saw the peculiarities of the Hiditec GX20 mouse, the high-end model of the house, and this time we are going to analyze its little brother, but that has not left us indifferent. and that is exactly what we are going to see with this review. We leave you with the Hiditec GX12.

Hiditec GX12

After the good taste in the mouth of the previous review, it was the turn of one of the small models of the house, at least in theory because this is also very interesting because it has many features of it. Although it does not have an Avago sensor like the other, its professional optical sensor will not leave anyone indifferent, with an adjustable precision and programmable by software and button, starting from 1000 to 2400dpi, being able to alter its sensitivity with a button with the button that counts in its central position.

It also has two programmable bones at the height of the thumb, to insert quick access commands, page advance or others.

The pushbuttons, inherited from its older brother, the Omrom, amply perform, with firm and silent pulsations, also guaranteeing up to 10 million pulsations. It has four low friction pads with a support of up to 250km, a spectacular figure at least in a mouse of these characteristics.

The lighting is automatic and random, with clear and soft colors, making sober gradients in all shades (green, blue, purple, yellow, red…).

Like its older brother it also has an ambidextrous design and can also program, as we will see later, the buttons for all this. The USB cable is meshed and braided, and has, as we will see now, specialized software for its operation and programming, which we can download directly from the Hiditec website.

Operation and Software.

Like any USB device today, it is not necessary to work and start with it, software, in addition to being compatible with all operating systems but only with Windows we will enjoy such software. That we will be able, very simply, to completely alter its operation if we wish, to improve our daily life.

As we see in the images, we have a presentation of our mouse, with its buttons with a series configuration, and that we can alter, being able to add other parameters such as "copy, paste, advance, etc". On the other hand, in the second tab there are 3 basic sections for the configuration of the mouse, which dates from click speed, scroll speed and finally the pointer speed.

As we mentioned before, we have two “empty” buttons to add the command that we want, the one that we use most commonly, to those already seen previously. In the lower position, we can add and save our configurations to load them, and have profiles made for each situation if we play or work with it, since the demand is not the same.

What we find a shame, for those least given to English, is their language, which lacks a translation into Spanish.

In summary, it is a fast, simple and precise configuration, without eating our heads when adjusting the value we need and therefore losing the least possible time. The software itself comes with the driver, without having to do any additional installation.

Conclusions

Reaching the end of the review, and after having been playing and working with it for a long time, we were left with its good size and poise, for relatively large hands it is very comfortable, not giving the feeling of smallness.

The sensor is precise and fulfills very well, especially within the price that this mouse hovers around, and what it brings with it, as specific software and more than acceptable and simple programming. Unfortunately, as we said before, it is not currently in Spanish, although the commands and their operation are very intuitive.

It is also a shame that we cannot alter the sensitivity, from 1000 to 2400dpi, in more than two positions, which for the price it has would even be excessive to ask, and for this reason we may be even more interested in opting for its immediately superior model, which is a few euros more.
