We have with us a new fairly inexpensive gaming laptop to analyze. This is the HP Pavilion Gaming 15, a team we could say, mid-range, with a Core i5 9300H 4-core and Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. It will offer us outstanding performance in Full HD resolution with its 15.6-inch screen and an improved cooling system that works like a charm.

If you are thinking of purchasing a gaming device with a good performance-price ratio, this could be a great option, so don't miss our Review.

And we thank HP for their trust in us in giving us this laptop for doing our in-depth analysis.

HP Pavilion Gaming 15

Well we come to the end of this review of the HP Pavilion Gaming 15 and we have practically left nothing behind. A laptop with a less aggressive design, with sharp edges, but without losing the elegance and identity of HP. In addition, its autonomy has been more than remarkable, with 6 hours of uninterrupted basic use at 50% brightness.

The performance is very good for gaming, especially for the price at which we find the equipment. Admittedly, we have a 4-core I5-9300 instead of the typical i7, but we think it will perfectly complement the 6GB GTX 1660 Ti to give us over 60 FPS in demanding titles and in high quality.

However, there are things to polish, such as having only an 8 GB RAM module. For this price it is feasible to put 16 GB in Dual Channel. In addition, the SSD could also be improved, with greater capacity or with a little more write performance. We see very positive the fact of including a 1 TB HDD, which many gaming devices do not have.

We recommend that you take a look at our guide to the best laptops on the market

We are very happy with the cooling, silent, efficient and above all effective. A very different panorama to that we saw in the HP OMEN 15, since the CPU does not exceed 78 degrees and the thermal throttling we have not seen anywhere. And what about the aggressive rear openings that feel great?

In the multimedia aspect we have two good things and two bad things. On the one hand, we have an excellent sound system located in the upper area, above the average in this range, and a keyboard of excellent quality, backlit and with a very good membrane. But on the other hand, I found the touchpad a bit loose and not going as fine as it should. The IPS display is good but not great, with discreet calibration and around 60Hz that limits a bit of a competitive gaming experience.

We finish talking about the price, because we will have this HP Pavilion Gaming 15 in this same configuration for a price of 999 euros in Spain. To have a graph of this level, we see a very competitive price, and it is normal that in some aspects it can be improved a little. In any case, for us it is a 100% recommended laptop.
