MediaTek is known for offering excellent performance SOCs and a lower price than the competition, the Chinese manufacturer continues to look for new allies to continue its spectacular growth, and even attract potential buyers.
After the Lenovo Vibe X2 presented a few days ago at the IFA 2014 that assembles its new octa-core processor, this time it is HTC who seems to be close to announcing a new terminal with a MediaTek heart of 5.5 inches format so we are talking about a Phablet. The benefits should be similar to the recently announced HTC Desire 816, exchanging the Snapdragon 400 for a Mediatek, possibly the MT6595.
HTC needs to be more price competitive and MediaTek partner with big brands to be recognized as a real choice. Thus the collaboration between both brands should have very positive consequences, especially for the buyers' pocket.
