HyperX Impact DDR4 SODIMM: unboxing and design

HyperX makes us a classic presentation in all its memories with a plastic blister and a seal in the form of an adhesive. On its cover we can see that it is two 32 GB, 2400 MHz modules and their latency.

This pack is made up of two DDR4 modules of 16GB each, making a total of 32GB at 2400MHZ. It has a CL14 (14-14-14) latency and a native voltage of 1.20V.

What equipment are they compatible with? Well, for now with all laptops with DDR4 support. Can it be incompatible with some equipment? Of power it can, but being DDR4 SODIMM it should not give you a problem, since HyperX (new gaming division of Kingston) usually works with its memories with a wide range of components.

The memory really does not have any cooling system and it does not need it either. What looks like a heatsink is actually a sticker that is on one side.

As usual in our tests we have used one of the best laptops of 2016: Asus GL552VW-DM149 with i5-6300HQ processor and GTX 960M graphics card. (Read guide on how to install memory on a laptop).

Final words and conclusion

The HyperX Impact DDR4 with two modules of 16GB each ideal for laptops and small teams. Among its characteristics we have found a base speed of 2400 MHz, very cool chips, a voltage of 1.2V and a CL14 latency.

But… Are there currently more models? The truth that of all colors and tastes: pack of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or the analyzed 32GB. Without a doubt, a great complement to the best gamer notebooks.

Currently we can find them in Spanish online stores in various formats. Their prices range from 35 to 140 euros.
