Corsair ValueSelect SODIMM DDR4: unboxing and design
Corsair makes a simple presentation in a cardboard box next to a plastic blister that protects both RAM modules. On the cover we see an image of the product and its most important characteristics, while on the back the modules we have purchased.
On the memory sticker it indicates the specific model, in this case it is the CMSO32GX4M2A2133C15. This pack consists of two DDR4 modules of 16GB each, which make a total of 32GB at 2133MHZ. It has a latency of CL15 (15-15-15-36) and a native voltage of 1.20V.
Already entering our performance tests, we have installed on a Gamer laptop: Asus GL552VW-DM149 with i5-6300HQ processor and GTX 960M graphics card. We leave you the link of the guide so you can check the installation yourself: Guide on how to install DDR4 SODIMM memory.
In our tests we have seen that with the Aida64 Engineer performance test in its latest version . The readings and writings are fantastic, see for yourself the results obtained:
Final words and conclusion
Corsair is the largest top-of-the-range memory manufacturer on the market. Its chips are cared for, they are fresh and it meets all the specifications requested by the manufacturers. It also allows us to perform a large overclock, although when it comes to laptop memory there is little point in applying it.
Specifically we have had in our test bench the Corsair ValueSelect SODIMM DDR4 with a speed of 2133 MHz and a voltage of 1.2V. Currently it can be purchased in pairs or separately, making a total of 8, 16, or 32 GB.
In our test bench we have installed the ValueSelect in a portable gamer, specifically in the Asus GL552V and the result has been fantastic. The team started with 4GB and has given it a new life and its fluidity is maximum. Great Corsair job!
Currently we can find them in Spanish online stores in various formats. Their prices range from 35 to 120 euros.
