According to rumors, on October 21 Apple will announce the launch of the new Retina iMac, a new iMac model with a generous 27-inch screen with an impressive 5K resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels.
This resolution doubles the points per inch (ppi) of the previous models and exceeds the graphics power that the integrated graphics of the Core i7-4790K Intel microprocessors that the company of the bitten apple will mount in its new creation are capable of providing.
In order to move such screen resolution with ease, Apple will resort to an AMD GPU that has proven to be able to deal with such a large number of pixels in a successful way.
