It was rumored for quite some time and has finally been officially confirmed, Apple has introduced the new iMac Retina equipped with a screen with 5K resolution and an AMD Radeon GPU.
The new Apple computer introduces a unique 27-inch screen technology multiplying by 4 the pixels of the previous iMac, reaching 14.7 million pixels and a resolution of 5, 120 by 2, 880 pixels (5K) for maximum image quality. All this is compacted in a chassis between 5 mm and 20.3 cm thick.
The iMac Retina comes at a price of 2, 629 euros in its most economical version by mounting a 3.50 GHz Intel Core i5 processor coupled with 8 GB of RAM. The graphics section is in charge of the AMD Radeon R9 M290X GPU with 2 GB of integrated GDDR5 memory and has 1 TB of hybrid storage.
The top-of-the-range model of the iMac Retina integrates an Intel Core i7 at 4.00 GHz, 32 GB of RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M295X graphics equipped with 4 GB GDDR5, 3 TB of hybrid storage or a 1 TB SSD at a price of 3879 euros the version with hybrid storage or 4529 euros with the SSD.
