The popular social network focused on photography and video, Instagram, continues to improve its service by adding new options and functions for users, in this case, the possibility of applying image filters to live video sessions.
Even more personalized live videos
The particular battle between Instagram and Snapchat continues forward as both services continue to incorporate new functions and features with which not only increase the loyalty of their users, but also attract new users. A good example of this is the new feature implemented by Instagram thanks to which live video broadcasts will be even more customizable.
Since last weekend, the new Instagram update allows users to apply filters to their live video broadcasts, which, in addition, they can then share with other users as if it were one more story.
Leaning on its augmented reality (AR) technology, Instagram takes another step forward in a feature that initially reaped success as a feature of what has become its biggest rival, Snapchat.
According to information provided by the company through its official blog, users can now add face filters to their live videos simply by tapping the face icon in the lower right corner before or during streaming. Obviously, you can also change the filter selected during the video session and, once finished, you can discard it or share it in your stories.
Face filters for live videos began to be implemented this weekend for both the Android version and iOS devices. What do you think about the new function incorporated by Instagram for users? Do you already have it available on your smartphone?
