Instagram launches offline mode for the app on android

There are more and more applications that allow you to use them in offline mode. For those times when the internet connection is of poor quality or the connection is lost intermittently, such as when you travel on the subway.

Instagram now becomes the last of the applications to present its offline mode. The company has confirmed that the Android application will allow you to browse the downloaded content offline on your timeline. In this way you can like and comment on publications without being connected to the internet.

How Instagram offline mode works

The idea is that Instagram allows you to do all those actions without the need for an internet connection. But the moment the connection comes back it syncs with the servers.

Instagram has thought this possibility for developing countries. Like the Lite versions of Twitter or Messenger, which will be tested in countries such as India or Brazil. The reason is that in these countries data connections are often slow or suffer numerous interruptions.

This offline mode option is expected to also be available for Instagram Stories. In principle, the plan is that a video can be recorded, personalized and sent. In this way, when the connection is recovered, it can be published normally.
